A 10th century fortess between Florence and Siena, standing on top of a hill, with a spectacular view to San Gimignano medieval towers,  only 5 kilometres away. The charming retreat is an accurate renovation of an ancient castle on the Francigena route, center of cultural and political events, home of Paolo Cortesi, a famous humanist and secretary of Pope Julius II in the Renessaince. The dwelling of 852502 square inches, receives 12 guests in 6 romantic rooms with private bathroom, precious furniture and antiques, medieval fireplaces. In all rooms air conditioning / heating, Wi-Fi, safe, mosquito-nets, refrigerator, kettle with a selection of coffee, tea, basic complimentary basic toiletries in all bathrooms, books at disposal. The  relaxing and peaceful atmosphere, the pristine natural resort, the regenerating slow pace of time, a deep sense of history wraps of magic this place. The comfort is familiarly welcoming as at home, purposely different from hotel. We accept reservations for a minimum stay of 2 nights, bed and breakfast serving sweet and savory Tuscan specialties. The property includes a swimming pool, surrounded by greenery, amply supplied by sunloungers and a large pergola that provides shade and plenty of relaxation in absolute privacy, the garden with gazebo, private parking, the olive groves source of extra virgin olive oil , gardens of vegetables, herbs and the purest saffron Dop of San Gimignano, of world class quality. The farm monitors each phase of  the produce and provides its products to the own restaurant "Dulcisinfundo" located in the center of San Gimignano.On previous request tastings, hand made pasta and cooking courses, dinners (minimum 6 people).
