PODERE LE SERRE

  ‘Podere Le Serre’ is a Country-Farm Holiday-House in the hills of Tuscany, in Maremma region. It’s a perfect resort to stay in relax surrounded by a beautiful natural scenery. Podere Le Serre is a “casale”, a traditional mansion. The building was made of local stone; the whole estate consists of a park, an oliveyard, an orchard, a wood, two ponds. The house has large arcades and a panoramic terrace.   At ‘Podere Le Serre’ you can stay in large and confortable bedrooms, well furnished in the true elegant Tuscan style, and at our Restaurant you can taste the flavours of traditional and typical Tuscan food. All the rooms have the ceilings made of chestnut wood, and the windows have the traditional shutters. The doors were built by tuscan craftsman too. In every room you can enjoy a fantastic natural view.    ‘Podere Le Serre’ is 1 & ½ hour from Florence, less than 1 hour from Siena, less than 1 hour from the Coast of Mare Tirreno, ½ hour from Mount Amiata (1737 mt). There are some WWF oasis, and ecological sanctuaries such as The Natural Reserve of Rocconi and the  Faunistic Park of Monte Labbro. Beautiful and picturesque sea-villages are waiting for you - Orbetello, Porto Santo Stefano, Porto Ercole, Alberese.You can enjoy mineral water therapy at the baths of charming Saturnia, but spa facilities are everywhere: Bagno Vignoni, Bagni San Filippo, San Casciano Bagni. Famous towns such as Siena, Pisa, Arezzo, Firenze are easily reachable.If you are fond of Art, you can discover the artistic treasures of medieval ‘borghi’ and their ancient  and artistic masterpieces. You can visit Santa Fiora (International Festival of Music), Casteldelpiano (Palio), Piancastagnaio (ancient Castle), San Galgano (ruined Abbey), Monte Oliveto Abbey, Montalcino (famous wine shops and wine bars), Castiglione d’Orcia, Sant’Antimo Abbey (you can listen to the medieval songs of the monks, who sing in Latin).
