POGGIO AL TUFO

Agriturismo Poggio al Tufo is a beautifully refurbished farmhouse near the historic village of Pitigliano, on the hills of the Maremma Toscana, few kilometers away from Grosseto. The agritourism is sorrounded by vineyards belonging to the Tommasi family. The view is breathtaking and it is perfectly in keeping with its sorroundings. The Agriturismo Poggio al Tufo, composed of two adjacent buildings, has 8 rooms named after local sites. In the main building, "Poggio al Tufo" e "Cavalluccio" are the 2 more spacious rooms. They both are double bedrooms with 2 sofa bed and they can host up to 4 people. The “Formica” room is a double bedroom with a sofa bed for kids up to 12 years old. In the adjacent building the rooms are all on the ground floor and they are all named after local vineyards belonging to the Tommasi family. "Rompicollo", "Bottinello", "Montebuono” are all double bedrooms where the bed can be separated in 2 single beds with an extra sofa bed, instead "Tintorosso" e "Pitigliano" are regular double bedrooms with a sofa bed. All rooms are elegant and have high end furnitures. They all have independent air conditioned and heating system, LCD TV, digital safe, minibar, hair dryer, courtesy line, and in-suite bathrooms with shower.  The Agriturismo is run by a warm couple of housekeepers where the husband takes care mainly of the vineyards and the wife Ornella is the one in charge of pampering you producing delicious meals using only local ingredients. Of course, you can also taste all wines that the Tommasi family produces in the area plus some of the award-winning wines that they produce in the Valpolicella region. For Restaurant service advanced reservation is required. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served on the ground floor of the main building. In the backyard of the Agriturismo there is also a fully equipped large swimming pool where you can relax and hear only the birds singing.  The Agriturismo Poggio al Tufo is also few kilometers away from Sovana, Sorano, from the most interesting sites of the Maremma Toscana like Terme di Saturnia and the most important Etruscan archeological sites.   Pets allowed a daily supplement is required
