VILLA POGGIO LE VIGNACCE

Villa Poggio le Vignacce is located on a hill covered with olive trees in the heart of the Valdichiana, near Marciano della Chiana, an ancient medieval village, known throughout history for having been, in 1554, the scene of the battle of Scannagallo. From the Villa the view opens onto the valley up to admire Cortona, Castiglion Fiorentino and the castle of Montecchio. The ancient and prestigious villa still retains the signs of the glories of the past in the frescoes that resurfaced during the last restoration.  The villa is surrounded by 2 hectares of fenced park, with large lawns, olive trees, and a natural wood of ash, oak and cypress trees. A small cottage is located next to the main building. A large swimming pool (7 X 14 meters) completes this suggestive corner of the Valdichiana.  A place suitable for rest, but also strategically located to easily reach the most important art cities of central Italy: Rome, Florence, Cortona, Arezzo, Perugia, Assisi, Siena, Montalcino, Pienza. Sleeps 18 + 4   The villa Poggio le Vignacce is on 2 floors and consists of 7 bedrooms, 2 suites with 2 bedrooms and a shared bathroom. Outside there is an independent cottage.
