The San Martino Church is located in the heart of Scarlino, just a short walk from Piazza Garibaldi. The building, which was constructed in the 13th century, later rebuilt in 1759 in Neo-Romanesque style and further expanded in the mid-20th century, has a gabled façade and a brickwork segmental arch entrance.
It consists of a single nave with two side altars made of plaster and stucco, while the pictorial works include a 19th-century painting depicting a "Madonna with Child and angels" inside a wooden structure placed on the altar.
The church contains the detached fresco of Saint Michael the Archangel, Saint Andrew the Apostle and the Madonna and Child in Glory.
