The Church of St. Michael the Archangel is a small and old place of worship which you find in the historic centre of Cinigiano, within the streets characteristic of the medieval village. The structure already existedin the 15th century as a baptismal font, then it was rebuilt at the end of the 16th century with the construction of the brick façade and decorated with a central rose window.
Inside you find many significant works including the 17th century painting of St. John the Baptist and the Madonna with Child giving a scapular to St. Simon Stock and the Crucifixion and Saints Francesco, Mark and Sigismondo by Francesco Vanni.
The principle nave is decorated with two elegant alters with the Madonna of Graces by Daniele Lonati and the Trinity with angels, of the Nasinian school.
