In Montevarchi, a direct point of sale where to find local products

The Montevarchi Farmers’ Market is a large daily outlet for the sale of local agricultural and food products. A few kilometers from the earth to the table!

A direct point of sale shared by several local producers, one of the first virtuous examples of the short supply chain in Italy and the first Slow Food Earth Market.

More than 80 companies find space at the Farmers’ Market Hall, and it is intended for the marketing of certified (PDO, PGI, DOCG, organic farming, integrated farming...) and local Tuscan agricultural products: from vegetables to wine, from fresh milk to cheese, from meat to cured meats, from oil to bread, from fruit to preserves. The hosted companies have signed a "participation disciplinary code", so the products on display and for sale are exclusively from the company’s production and are characterized by: territoriality and seasonality, typicality and organoleptic quality characteristics, price transparency and labeling correctness, sustainability and wholesomeness of the production process and product traceability.

Inside the market, meetings with chefs and producers, show cooking and tasting evenings are held periodically to tell the story of the area through food and wine.

Until March 2025, the Farmers’ Market will be located in the temporary location at Via Trieste, 30, also in Montevarchi, as the old location in Piazza dell’Antica Gora is being renovated.

The Market is open from Monday to Saturday. Closed on Sundays and public holidays.
