The Historical Figurine Museum is situated in the castle of Calenzano Alto, and maintains a vast collection ranging from old historical figurines (dating back to the Etruscan and Roman ages) to the toy soldiers of the Second World War, with particular reference to the Gothic Line and the Italian resistance movement.
The museum offers a unique itinerary through the world of model making, retracing the history of toy soldiers, the different classifications and production phases.
The visit to the museum features several sections: an archaeological exhibit tied to the history of the area; an educational section composed of scaled models; a historical display linked to the structure of Calenzano Castle, regarded as an open-air museum, as well as multi-era workshop activities, associated with historical re-enactment.
