The Museum of the Community of Montalcino and Brunello is located inside the Barbi Farm in Montalcino and was created to witness the historical and cultural importance of the village, without forgetting tradition, starting with the famous Brunello.
The museum tour begins with the story of the daily traditions of the Montalcino community: through the collections of furniture, games, old farm tools and documents it is possible to reenact the ancient life of the people who made this land great.
Continuing, we get to the very heart of the narrative: the history of Brunello of Montalcino, from its creation - with the pioneers who realized it - to the hundreds of labels to delve into Montalcino’s terroir and its microclimates.
The tour is concluded with the Brunello Labyrinth: a display of more than 200 bottles from Montalcino wineries.
The museum gathers in its rooms the soul of a village now known worldwide, which has always been the protagonist of a story made of perseverance, work, struggle, but also joy of living, culture and respect for nature.
Guided tours are available daily in both Italian and English.
Reservation is required.
