The Museum of Rural Culture is located in the rooms next to the Church of San Bartolomeo, in the oldest part of the village of Casore del Monte, outside Marliana.
The ethnological museum was founded out of a need to document the history of the territory, where farming was a key part of everyday life. The exhibition includes old equipment, like a fodder cutter, seeder and plow, some of which still work.
The museum offers visitors the chance to explore the simplicity of these objects, especially when compared to today’s automated machinery.
