The village of Trequanda is home to a collection of sacred furnishings and artworks

The Museum of Sacred Art in Castelmuzio, in Trequanda, is located in the oratory and former hospice of the Confraternity of San Bernardino, founded in 1450 and dedicated to the saint, who preached some of his most famous sermons here. The interior was restored in 1867 and vaunts a collection of artworks coming from the confraternity, including paintings from the Sienese school made between the 14th and 16th centuries, as well as a number of silverworks, liturgical furnishings and textiles dating from the 16th to 19th centuries.

Amongst the most important pieces, there is a Madonna with Saints attributed to Pietro Francesco degli Orioli, a Madonna and Child by the school of Duccio di Boninsegna and paintings by the school of Beccafumi, Domenico Manetti and Sano di Pietro. The museum also conserves a unique Etruscan funerary urn made in terracotta coming from Abbadia Sicille and an interesting collection of sacred furnishings. Lastly, the museum vaunts small panel painting by Sano di Pietro depicting the Chi Rho, donated by to the town by St. Bernardino and conserved in an 18th-century tabernacle in gold and enamel.
