Palazzo Poggi, located in the central Piazza Garibaldi in Casciana Terme, is considered a symbolic place in the town of hot springs.
The current configuration of the neoclassical exterior dates back to 1870, being designed by Florentine architect Giuseppe Poggi, known for the creation of Piazzale Michelangelo in Florence.
Inside the building is the Gran Caffè delle Terme dating back to 1823, which was once housed inside the first thermal bath establishment then reintegrated into the current one.
On the upper floor, the Art Nouveau-style Palazzo has a large, multifunctional hall—Casinò delle Terme—today used to host exhibitions, conferences, cultural events, private parties and civil weddings.
