Designed by English architect Ken Cotton in 1967, the 9-hole Tirrenia Golf Club is set in the picturesque surroundings of a centuries-old pine forest and lush Mediterranean scrubland, within the Migliarino, San Rossore and Massaciuccoli Nature Reserve.
With a total area of 84 hectares, 17 of which are entirely dedicated to golfing, it offers players one of the most harmonious and challenging courses internationally.
In this particular environment, the ability to manoeuver the ball is everything: the trees and the proximity of the forest represent natural obstacles to which players must adapt.
Tirrenia's particularly mild climate and the special characteristics of the course - sheltered from the wind in the winter season and pleasantly cool in the summer - mean that the club remains open all year round. A true garden where sport meets nature on a course that is among the most pleasant nationwide.
