By bike on the Via Francigena between Siena and Gambassi Terme
Three-day self-guided tour cycling along the pilgrims' route in the heart of Tuscany
The Via Francigena runs like a backbone through Tuscany, offering a myriad of perspectives on this land, the cradle of the Renaissance, rich in history, art, and nature.
The route we’ve selected for this bike tour is one of the most beautiful and evocative stretches in Tuscany. San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, and Siena are just a few of the destinations we’ll visit, while the countryside—with its rolling hills outlined by rows of vineyards and fields of wheat—provides the perfect backdrop. You’ll cycle along characteristic white gravel roads, passing by rustic farmhouses and ancient Romanesque churches.
