Casole d'Elsa and the valley of the Stellate stream
Walking loop tours immersed in the magnificent Tuscan landscapes
We will begin the route from the village of Casole d'Elsa with an urban trek admiring its artistic and historical richness manifested in the 14th-century Rocca, the Palazzo Pretorio, with the coats of arms of the ancient families, and the Romanesque Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Assunta (exterior only).
We will walk along the perimeter of the walls arriving in the open countryside where through easy farm and country roads we will admire the marvelous agricultural and woodland views typical of this area of Tuscany, the Rio Stellate valley and marvelous views of San Gimignano, Volterra and the Colline Metallifere, a regenerating and highly scenic route that will allow us to arrive in the early afternoon back in the center of Casole.
The tour will take place on Thursday, January 30 with departure at 09:30 a.m.
