Fiesole: e-bike, bread and extra virgin olive oil
An amazing cycling tour to discover the beauty beyond Florence
In this tour, we will discover Fiesole, "the sky above Florence", the Tuscan countryside so close and yet so far from the city. I will show you the places I love, where I have spent my whole life.
We will see where Leonardo da Vinci lived and dreamed about human flight and where Dante fell in love with Beatrice. Breathtaking panoramic views of Florence, hills, and fields of olive trees will surround us.
Depending on the season we will reach a monastery still inhabited by monks, at an altitude of over 800 meters (2600 ft.). We will cross the path of Via degli dei (the ancient via Flaminia Minor), the Etruscan road that crossed the Apennines mountains at least 200 years BC.
During the journey, we will get some fragrant bread and fresh seasonal vegetables from local farmers, as I usually do with my family. Then, we will have a small gastronomic break at Giorgio's farm, where we will eat outdoors in the farmyard, tasting his extra virgin olive oil and his good wine (they are always on my kitchen table at home).
It won't be just a tourist experience but a little adventure: this is local life away from crowded places.

- Gastronomic break at a traditional tuscan olive oil and wine farm, Fattoria di Montereggi, where you will taste bread and excellent local extra virgin olive oil, red house wine, Fresh fruit or vegetables in season, Pecorino cheese

- On request, Prosciutto and Salame at Fattoria di Montereggi, additional cost € 15 per person
Meeting point
Plan
- Small group max 4 participants or private
- It is possible to cycle in the morning, in the afternoon, at sunrise, sunset or even at night
- We will ride for around 30 km (4 hours). Distance and route may vary depending on the ability of participants
- Our company reserves the right to deny the bike tour to individuals, both adults and children, who are unable to ride a bicycle safely. In the event of such circumstances, the entire tour amount will be retained, and there is no possibility of a refund.

- Cancellation policy: cancel up to 7 days before the experience start time for a full refund
- Rain policy: the tour will be canceled and refunded only if severe weather conditions make it unsafe for you
