Historical-naturalistic hiking in the Maremma Regional Park
A path to discover the park among coastal towers, Mediterranean scrub and wild beaches to learn the history of its territory
We will walk together with a Natural Hiking Guide in one of the most iconic routes of the Maremma Regional Park, to discover its incredible nature made up of Mediterranean scrub, prehistoric cliffs on the ridge of the Uccellina mountains and an enchantingly wild beach.
We will also discover the history of this territory: the first prehistorical settlements of man, the presence of Etruscans and Romans, stories of pirates and corsairs.
A fascinating journey through time that will transport you to a world where modernity will seem only a far memory!

- Meeting at 9.30 at the Visitor Center of the Maremma Regional Park
- Difficulty of the path: "E" (Hike) easy within reach of many, a minimum of walking training is required
- Duration of the excursion 5-6 hours
- Path length: 11 km
- Expected difference gaining height: 130 meters
- Needed equipment: Hiking shoes (mandatory), water & food: 1.5l of water + packed lunch (by the hiker), appropriate clothing for the season, waterproof jacket, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen, mosquito spray or lotion, trekking poles and binoculars (recommended)
