Montalbano afternoon tour
Trekking with rustic dinner on the hills of the Pietramarina area, protected area known for ancient Etruscan settlements
There are many points of interest in this special proposal. We will take a loop trail to discover the Protected Area of Pietramarina located along the Montalbano ridge, an area that highlights the signs of a history that spans the Etruscan, Medieval and Medicean eras.
We will pass through typical forests of holm oak and Mediterranean essences, then encounter areas of chestnut groves in a unique mix of colors and scents.
We will continue from the historic Abbey of San Giusto al Pinone to the mysterious monolith known as "Sasso del Diavolo," from the Etruscan archaeological area to the Casino dei Birri of Medici memory. At the culmination of the tour we will stop for an unforgettable agri-dinner on the hill of the Azienda Agricola Arrighi, where at sunset, comfortably seated, we will admire a splendid panorama while tasting artisanal products. We will return to the starting base via an easy route through the woods lit by our flashlights.
Excursion fee, euro 18,00; separate dinner fee, euro 18,00.
The tour will take place on Saturday, June 28, departing at 5 pm.
