The Giostra del Saracino is a traditional historical re-enactment held in Arezzo, Tuscany, twice a year, on the first Sunday in June and the penultimate Sunday in September. This event has its roots in the Middle Ages and celebrates the history and traditions of the city, involving the four historic districts: Porta Crucifera, Porta del Foro, Porta Sant'Andrea and Porta Santo Spirito. 

The event is preceded by an evocative historical parade, in which figures in medieval clothes parade through the streets of the centre, accompanied by musicians and drummers. The streets are filled with colours, sounds and smells, creating a magical atmosphere that involves residents and tourists. The neighborhoods also compete in a costume and flag competition, trying to demonstrate their pride and tradition.
