The true story of Leonardo da Vinci in Florence
A guided tour to retrace the places and discover the traces that "the Genius" left in the city
Do you want to learn about the traces Leonardo left in Florence? Do you want to discover the character of the genius from Vinci? Have you seen the TV series and want to find out how much of it is true?
On this tour we will trace the young da Vinci's life from his arrival in Verrocchio's workshop to his departure for Milan. We will discover his relationships with Lorenzo the Magnificent, Michelangelo, Botticelli and the great Florentine artists, and we will also tell some gossip about his private life.
The tour will start from the church of Santissima Annunziata, near which Leonardo had his workshop, we will continue to Via Cavour, where the Medici family lived, we will then arrive at the workshops that Verrocchio rented, which were owned by Donatello and we will see how these places allowed Leonardo to develop his technological skills.
We will then cross Piazza Duomo where we will discover some of the works related to the genius and continue to Via dei Calzaiuoli and Piazza Signoria, arriving at Ponte Vecchio and ending the tour in Piazza Santo Spirito.
