The waters of Limentra
We greet the Summer with a fascinating trails within the Acquerino-Cantagallo Nature Reserve, a protected area in the heart of the Apennines
We will walk immersed in a beautiful forest, where torrents rushing down the valleys of the Bisenzio and Limentra meet the many testimonies of human activities carried out until a few decades ago in ancient stone farmsteads, dryers and water mills.
Our itinerary will take place in the most interesting part of the Reserve among springs, monumental tree specimens and wide clearings, where it is not uncommon to hear and with a little luck to meet the Deer, which has formed in these habitats one of the main populations of the Northern Apennines.
We will skirt the Limentra di Treppio stream until we reach a fantastic natural pool, where we will stop for a picnic lunch. Those who wish will be able to bathe in an absolutely natural setting with watermelon refreshments and a final toast.
The tour will take place on Sunday, September 15, starting at 9:00 am.
