Hike in the heart of the Val di Cecina among natural and archaeo-mineral landscapes
A new, exciting journey of discovery into the fantastic world of geothermal energy and the mysterious legends of the Colline Metallifere and Val di Cornia.
We will admire the impressive geothermal manifestations of the Boraciferous Lake in the territory of Monterotondo Marittimo, boiling water, soffions and bulicams in the evocative and unique atmosphere of the small hamlet where borax and boric acid have been produced since 1827.
It is a land of strong personality and popular legends that will take us back to the days of the early Middle Ages as we discover the mysterious Castiglion Bernardi, the scene of the tragic story of Nencia, Gigliola and the cruel Count Pannocchieschi.

- The guide reserves the right to make changes to the hike to ensure the safety of the group, or to cancel the hike in case of bad weather and/or alertness.
