Tour of Vinci in the lands of Leonardo
Route of great scenic and cultural-historical interest, not far from Florence.
Discover Leonardo’s birthplace through a journey that evokes the landscapes and impressions of the Genius’s childhood.
An experience rich in historical and scenic interest: starting from the birthplace in Anchiano, nestled in gentle hills, we will ascend toward Vallebuia, where we’ll find springs, old stone mills, and a stretch of the Medicean Royal Barco Wall, all surrounded by beautiful woodland.
We will then reach the panoramic hamlet of Faltognano, home to the Pieve di Santa Maria and a monumental Holm Oak estimated to be 200-300 years old, where we will pause for a well-earned break.
The Castle of Vinci is now close, and we will recognize its distinctive shape from above. The village is also known as the "ship castle" due to its unique outline. Immersed in this evocative setting, we will descend into the alleys where young Leonardo once wandered, observing the lively daily activities near his grandfather’s house.
The tour will take place on Saturday, May 31, departing at 9:30 AM.

The guide reserves the right to make changes to the hike to ensure the safety of the group, or to cancel the hike in case of bad weather and/or alertness.
The excursion will be confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 8 people and a maximum of 25 people.
