The Via Romea Germanica was the preferred route for most Northern European pilgrims to reach Rome: this route starts in the picturesque Chiusi della Verna, with its sanctuary, and passes through the Casentino Forests National Park before continuing into the Etruscan lands of the Arezzo area, between Subbiano and Arezzo, a town that embodies ancient beauty.

And let's not forget Cortona, emblem of renowned Tuscan beauty, and Castiglion del Lago, a true gem on the shores of Lake Trasimeno.
