Villa Reale of Marlia

You will discover the magnificent 16-hectare-long garden of Villa Reale and all its arboreal heritage, particularly its camellias, the prettiest ones in Lucca.

You will immerse yourself in the multitude of paths and gardens of the Villa: the Lemon Garden, with more than 200 vases of citruses, the Spanish Garden and the Italian Garden. You will explore the Green Theatre, the oldest in Europe, where world-famous violinist Niccolò Paganini performed for Elisa Baciocchi, and the Water Theatre, built around a large pool, decorated with waterfalls and statues. 

You will visit the interiors of the majestic Villa Reale and its chambers, decorated by Elisa Baciocchi to her imperial taste. You will discover the museum inside the Clock House and the extravagant collections of Countess Mimì Pecci Blunt. And finally, you will be impressed by Pan’s Grotto, the oldest Nymphaeum among the villas of Lucca.
