For the sixth year in a row, Castiglion Fiorentino will host the German orchestra Die Zarge from Munich, which will hold a classical music concert on the evening of 29 August at 9 p.m. in the charming Cloister of St Francis, next to the homonymous church.
The acclaimed ensemble, conducted by Professor Bernhard Tluck, will perform parts of a wonderful summer serenade played last June at the Munich Residence.
The programme includes a rich selection of pieces from the classical music repertoire of Italy and Germany, including compositions from the Italian Baroque period (Vivaldi and Ricciotti) and the southern German classical period (Fils and Mozart), before moving on to the Romantic current in both countries with Doninzetti, Reger and the Austrian Schubert.
