A visual journey through art, history and creativity

The Castiglion Fiorentino Photo Fest was devised as an inclusive project designed to provide visibility for photographers of all levels, including emerging shutterbugs. The ‘objective’? To enhance the photographic projects presented, encouraging encounters between the artists and the public, thus contributing to the dissemination of photographic culture. The people behind the event are committed to promoting a plurality of visual languages, supporting different and original expressive paths.

This year’s edition is distinguished by its exceptional location: the Church of Sant’Agostino. The extraordinary historic building, recently restored with much care and attention, will be presented to the public as a new cultural destination.

The launch of the festival on April 26 coincides with the official opening of the newly-renovated church, underscoring the city administration’s desire to combine art and heritage, as well as to offer photography a central role in the enhancement of the area.

This special appointment, in a setting rich in history and beauty, is an event that continues to tell the present through the photographic lens, between visual art, memory and experimentation.

Castiglion Fiorentino Photo Fest continues through to May 11. More information, events and the full program are available on the festival website.
