On Sunday, June 30, at 9:15 p.m., great opera returns to the medieval Piazza della Chiesa in Chianni, with La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi.

The three-act opera based on Francesco's libretto will be staged with the participation of prestigious artists, including Elena Memoli (Violetta Valery), Martina Barreca (Flora Bervoix), Veronica Angelica Niccolini (Annina), Alessandro Fantoni (Alfredo Germont), Sergio Bologna (Giorgio Germont), Francesco Marchetti (Gastone), Sandro Degl'Innocenti (Barone Douphol), Kyle O' Sullivan (Marchese D'Obigny), Alessandro Ceccarini (Dottor Grenvil), Riccardo Fattorini (Domestico di Flora). The story, based on "The Lady of the Camellias" by Alexandre Dumas fils, features Violetta Valery, a woman of the world, who falls in love with Alfredo Germont, a young scion who has just entered society. The love between the two, opposed by the boy's father, will eventually see a sad catharsis due to the death of the girl who has long been ill with consumption.
