A documentary exhibition in Pitigliano on the occasion of the celebrations for the 450th anniversary of the death of Cosimo I
From August 26 to December 30, the "F. Zuccarelli" Municipal Library in Pitigliano is hosting the documentary exhibition “Cosimo I e la Contea Ursinea di Pitigliano” (Cosimo I and the Orsini County in Pitigliano) set up as part of the celebrations for the 450th anniversary of the death of Cosimo I.
The exhibition aims to highlight the relationship between the Grand Duchy of Tuscany and the Orsini County, located on the distant southern border of the Tuscan State.
Ten panels (three of them displaying explanatory texts and seven with documents and photographic images) also highlight the evidence of the Medici period still present in Pitigliano.
