Festival of Tuscan violin making concerts between the 1700s and 1900s

In Florence, the exhibition dedicated to the masters of the art of violin making, past and present

Pianists Bruno Canino, Giuseppe Andaloro, Gloria Campaner and Francesco Nicolosi, double bass stars Alberto Bocini and Antonio Mercurio, and young violin talents Indro Borreani and Giovanni Andrea Zanon, along with the prestigious String Quartet of Teatro alla Scala. These are some of the names that will enliven the new edition of the Festival of Tuscan Violin Making Concerts between the 18th and 20th centuries, scheduled in Florence from October 20 to December 9.

Starring violins, cellos, double basses and other instruments, made or restored by craftsmen from Tuscany and beyond.

The 15 evenings will be held at the S. Stefano al Ponte Auditorium, with the exception of those on October 30 (Hall Luca Giordano – Palace Medici Riccardi, Florence), December 3 (Loggiato del Pellegrino, Impruneta) and December 5 (Basilica of Santissima Annunziata, Florence).
