The 5th edition of Lucia Festival, dedicated to podcasts and audio narratives from around the world, returns to Florence from December 12 to 15, with lots of guests and national and world premieres.
On the program are scheduled meetings with authors, collective listening sessions, talks, and workshops to explore the various interactions between storytelling, podcasting and radio languages. Not only audio stories, but also films without images, guided tours, a celebratory moment for the 100th anniversary of radio in Italy, a “gymnastics for the ears” session and a preview of the children's listening platform "Bambini all'Ascolto".
Lucia presents audio narratives from around the world thanks to the curated production of subtitling videos - in Italian and English - that facilitate its linguistic accessibility.
Also this year, the festival will be hosted in the spaces of CANGO - Cantieri Culturali Goldonetta, with events also located at Cinema Astra and Villa Romana.
On the occasion of 100 years of radio in Italy, Festival participants will also have the opportunity to follow two special guided tours of the exhibition “When the world was Radio. A century of history in books and magazines”, at the National Central Library in Florence: literary, musical, photographic and technical popularization works revealing some of the crucial moments in the history of Italian radio (December 13 and 14, free with reservations while places last).
Discover the full program on the website of the event.
Free entrance while places last, unless otherwise stated.
The audio work of Lucia Festival will be available also for online listening, on the website of the Festival and on the portal DigiToscana MediaLibraryOnline - the Tuscan digital library with open access.
