Events and initiatives for a festive space and an incredible Carnival

From February 8, the big masks arrive in the squares of Lucca: the Gorilla made by the Cinquini brothers, one of the most gigantic representations in the history of Carnival, The Skull Parade, ten skulls made by international artists, including the artisans of Cittadella.

In Piazza del Giglio The Shamans by master Michele Canova, an encounter between contemporary art and great History.

And for the parade of February 23, another fair will descend between the Walls, a 4-meter-high and 5-meter-long panther inspired by the city's coat of arms, which will move among the squares of the center and in the hamlets.

    Laser Light Show a big performance with music and special effects that envelop the audience in depictions of light

    Parade of the masks on Lucca Walls, while in Piazza San Michele a giant screen will show images of the Viareggio Carnival floats from the 2025 edition

    Carnival Party for children in Piazza San Michele, with confetti and games, Fire eaters, stilt walkers, streamers, entertainment and Carnival desserts prepared and distributed by FIPE pastry chefs

    CarnevalFratta is back, the famous ‘masked’ event that has animated the ‘Bastardo’ district, the ‘Fratta’ area and the ‘Borghi di Levante’ since the end of the 1970s and has soon become the Carnival of Lucca, a cultural and artistic moment of great appeal, in the squares and in the city throughout the year with workshops for masks and the creation of floats.
