In Florence, from April 25th to May 1st the event that celebrates the art of handmade

From April 25 to May 1, 2025, MIDA (the Florence International Handicrafts Fair) is back to the Fortezza da Basso, celebrating its 89th edition this year.
The annual event welcomes artisans and businesses from all sectors and sizes, offering the public the opportunity to admire the most extraordinary creations of Italian and international craftsmanship, attracting growing interest each year. Edition 2025 focuses on foreign countries such as France, Spain, Morocco, Egypt, India, Vietnam.

Founded in 1931, MIDA is the first craft fair in Italy, and its history is intertwined with that of a region, Tuscany, that continues to be the ideal place to enhance, develop and do research in this field. The event celebrates the art of the handmade: each booth recounts centuries of craftsmanship, with works ranging from glass to ceramics, from jewelry to fashion.

MIDA is more than just an exhibition. Visitors will be able to watch live artisans at work, participate in experiential workshops with master craftsmen, as well as take part in guided tours of the Fortezza da Basso, exploring the underground and hidden spaces of this grandiose 16th-century complex.

Musical events, workshops and children's activities are also on the program.

In addition to the main program, numerous side events enrich the event.
