From May 31 to June 8, Montespertoli will host the 67th edition of the Mostra del Chianti, an event that celebrates Tuscany's winemaking tradition and enhances the excellence of Chianti, a symbol of an area rich in history and culture.
The event, which has become a must for wine enthusiasts and insiders alike, will take place in the heart of the town, with Piazza del Popolo ready to welcome local wineries. The producers will present their wines and offer visitors the opportunity to taste and buy directly, encouraging an authentic encounter with the world of Chianti.
In addition to the wine part, the Chianti Exhibition will offer a full calendar of events designed to engage the public and delve into issues related to viticulture and the territory.
Guided tastings will provide detailed knowledge of the characteristics of Chianti and its different expressions, while debates and conferences will offer moments of discussion on issues related to biodiversity and innovation in the wine sector.
There will be no shortage of historical and reenactment events, such as the traditional parade of Gruppo 900 and the Tournament of the Contrade, along with shows, concerts and initiatives dedicated to families.
The motto chosen for this edition - “Ne' lieti calici” - is inspired by the famous toast from Giuseppe Verdi's opera La Traviata. It is a tribute to wine as a symbol of conviviality, culture and shared pleasure, values that have always characterized the Chianti Exhibition.
