On Friday, March 7, at the Teatro Manzoni in Pistoia, comes Jordi Savall surrounded by a group of extraordinary female musicians: a women's orchestra, created as a special project within the historic ensemble he founded in 1989, Le Concert des Nations, and composed of women under the age of 39 who pay tribute to the young female musicians of the Ospedale della Pietà in Venice and their maestro, the incomparable Antonio Vivaldi.

In this program, with Vivaldi's Four Seasons and other concertos, Savall and the musicians of Le Concert des Nations want to honor the memory of this magnificent composer as well as violinist and teacher, who was chiefly responsible in his time for the excellence and success of the orchestra of the Ospedale della Pietà: a tribute to female talent, on the heels of International Women's Day, through some of the most beloved pieces of the 'Red Priest'.
