San Quirico becomes the capital of extra virgin quality

Three days entirely dedicated to extra virgin olive oil from the hills of San Quirico d'Orcia, a production of great excellence, in the most beautiful landscape in the world, a World Heritage Site.

From December 6 to 8, the town in the heart of the Val d'Orcia returns as the capital of quality extra virgin olive oil, with the 31st edition of the Oil Festival, featuring 12 olive farms.

That of San Quirico d'Orcia is among the longest-running and most deeply rooted oil festivals in Italy: it was in 1993 when it was decided that the new vintage of extra virgin olive oil should be a moment of celebration, an explosion of flavors and fragrances, the best opportunity to learn about and taste a great excellence of this territory.

The streets of the Val d'Orcia town will be filled with the flavors and fragrances of the first pressed oil and there will be moments of popular folklore, as well as the opportunity to visit the historical, artistic and architectural beauties of the place, enjoy the iconic landscapes and taste the brand new vintage of extra virgin olive oil with the leading producers.

An edition that also leaves room for trekking, tastings in the spaces of the farms and guided tastings held in collaboration with Aicoo, moments of discussions, for a festival that makes extra virgin olive oil the undisputed king of the agri-food tradition of the Val d'Orcia. Plus lots of music and entertainment to enliven the squares and streets of the historic center.
