Five days of art and music with free admission

The fourth edition of Now Music Festival will enlive the Parish Church of Ponte allo Spino (Sovicille) from August 21 to 25, with concerts, exhibitions, performances, food and wine, art.

The Festival seeks to creatively bring into dialogue different manifestations of today's music and art, ranging from jazz to free improvisation, from performance to sound installation. Each day will feature alternating events, along with the opportunity to taste local food and wine. 

For the opening event (August 21, 7 p.m.) Lorenzo Pallini will lead the audience in an itinerant introduction of the Parish Church of Ponte allo Spino, along with the violin of Emanuele Parrini, an eminent figure in jazz and free music.

  • August 22
    7 p.m., concert by Biagio Marino and Zeno De Rossi
    9 p.m., duo concert by Giovanni Maier (double bass) and Roberto Ottaviano (sax soprano)
    10:15 p.m., concert by the quartet Fera
  • August 23
    7 p.m., concert by the ambient duo Cloudwatchers
    9 p.m., sound installation with sculptures by Pol Palli and sax by Guglielmo Pagnozzi
    10 p.m., concert by the trio of Filippo Sala
  • August 24
    11:30 a.m., performance by Alessandro Gambato with "Love me radically"
    7 p.m., concert by group Ophir
    10:15 p.m., solo performance by guitarist Gabrio Baldacci
    to close the day, concert by DOOOM Orchestra
  • August 25
    11:30 a.m., Nina Baietta presents a preview of the new record
    7 p.m., concert by the trio of Giulio Stermieri 
    9 p.m., concert of the group Blend3
    10:15 p.m., concert  of the group Timing Birds

At the close of the Festival, musicians and patrons will be invited to perform as part of the Now Music Ensemble Estemporaneo, open sets of free improvisation.

Tommaso Taurisano's photography exhibition will remain open for the duration of the Festival.
