Also in San Casciano dei Bagni, the 2024 Best Tourism Village in Italy, you can celebrate the new year thanks to the "Capodanno degli dei" (New Year’s Eve of the gods) event, starting at 11.30 p.m, in the beautiful setting of Piazza Matteotti.
In Montepulciano, until January 6, the usual Christmas market in Piazza Grande event is back - it is the biggest one in central Italy with more than 70 stalls. As well as the Christmas market, there is also the ever-popular Santa Claus Castle at the Medici Fortress. The New Year’s Eve in Piazza Grande event will also be held on December 31, with live music and DJ set to see the old year out and welcome the new one in.
Sarteano, known for being the village of Nativity Scenes of the world in the Christmas period, is proposing a rich calendar of events for 2024.
