Tuscany is not only a land of natural beauty and Renaissance art, but it is also a beating heart of industrial innovation. Past and present come together here, on a fascinating journey through industrial history, showing how ingenuity and creativity have transformed raw materials into excellent products.

Tuscan industrial tradition is a precious treasure that reflects the character of our region. Each territory contains factories and plants where manual skill is combined with modern technology, creating a unique legacy.

A map with 184 industrial sites distributed throughout Tuscany: Prato, the province of Florence, Pisa, Pistoia, Siena, Garfagnana, Amiata and Maremma. "Places where man builds his history" (as architect Giovanni Michelucci used to say).

This journey is an experience that unwinds across sites of industrial archeology and through cultural sites that trace the history of local manufacturing districts or specific companies and culminates in events: workshops, company visits, exhibitions, educational visits for observing production processes up close and meeting the industry’s protagonists, as well as cultural events, concerts and theatrical performances at the production sites. A unique look at how tradition and technology coexist, creating an industrial heritage that continues to grow and evolve.
