By bike in the nature of Marliana
At the point where the Valdinievole meets the Pistoia Mountains lies the territory of Marliana, which stretches from the valleys of the Vincio and Nievole rivers to the ramifications of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.
Dedicated to those who love mountain bikes, this trail runs along a scenic route on a safe and reserved road and is characterized by the splendid views that cover the entire trail.
The first stretch goes through the woods of Montagnana, where we will admire the medieval walls at the entrance of the town, and Prunetta, a small village that between the beginning of the 1900s and the middle of the same century flourished as a famous tourist destination, and was given the name of "Pearl of Tuscany."
The second has some dirt road stretches and will take you on a spectacular up and downhill ride through chestnut groves, potato fields and scenic views of the valley overlooking Pistoia, on the mountains of the Apennines around Pistoia and the hillside hamlet of Sarripoli.
Itinerary curated by the territorial integrated project Porte di Marliana.
