Cycling between Cecina and Bibbona

This itinerary connects some of the wonderful medieval villages of the Etruscan Coast, among cultivated fields, paths through the Mediterranean scrub and the deep blue sea in the background.

From Cecina, we pedal inland and climb up to Montescudaio, from where there is a wonderful panorama from the Cecina plain to the Tyrrhenian Sea. We continue through the hills to Guardistallo and reach Casale Marittimo, the village awarded the Orange Flag by the touring club. We descend until we reach Bibbona and its characteristic historic center tangled with narrow streets and medieval stone-paved squares.

The route takes us back to the coast until we reach Cecina.
