The Costa del Sole at the Island of Elba

The departure is from the village of Marina di Campo. You skirt the island's largest beach, coming out onto the area of the mouths, and continue to the airport in La Pila. Here the route proper begins, through Procchio and Marciana Marina.

Making a detour through Poggio you can make a stop to refill your canteens with the delicious Napoleon water, thus named because even the Emperor appreciated its beneficial effects. In Marciana we reach the height of 418 meters above sea level, the highest village on the island.

From here the route becomes hyper-panoramic and pleasant, very easy ups and downs keep you company until Marina di Campo. The route offers many cues for stops and swims at sea.

At Chiessi we will find a nice little beach with white granite pebbles. At Pomonte, instead, is the Ogliera beach, whose seabed has held the sunken wreck of the Elviscott since 1972. We can then visit Fetovaia, Seccheto and Cavoli, which offer some of the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean.
