Villages of the Apuan Lunigiana by bicycle

The itinerary starts from the E-Bike Center in Equi Terme at ApuanGeoLab - Visit center of the Apuan Alps Regional Park.

Equi Terme, at the base of the imposing north side of Pizzo d’Uccello, is a treasure chest of biodiversity. The activities that can be done here are numerous: Tourist caves, Speleo Adventure in the cave, Zipline, adventure park for the little ones, climbing, thermal pool, exhibition path at ApuanGeoLab and, of course, the possibility to rent E-MTB bikes.

From Equi, through secondary streets, among vineyards, olive groves and small villages, you reach Pieve di Codiponte. The ancient Romanesque parish church is worth a stop, for its gates and capitals carved in sandstone and the wonderful triptych preserved inside.

From Codiponte, our journey continues towards the fascinating Aquila Castle in Gragnola, framed by the Apuan peaks, and then leads us to Monte dei Bianchi, a village with old stories about White Friars and monasteries, where local wines are produced. Finally, the return to Equi is through the villages of Mezzana and Monzone.
