On September 14 Volterra is tinged in red, the color of sunsets and the predominant hue of Rosso Fiorentino's Deposition from the Cross.
The Notte Rossa (Red Night) is a much-awaited event for Volterrani themselves and for this very reason more interesting for tourists and visitors as well.
After sunset: musical entertainment, readings and short theatrical performances will be repeated every half hour in the many locations throughout the historic center.
A fun and interactive way to explore, or rediscover, Volterra.
A night during which the city takes on a different nature and unleashes its magic.
