Every weekend, throughout summer, an itinerary among museums and monuments

During the months of June, July, August and September, the weekends in Santa Maria a Monte will be dedicated to the most significant historical and artistic evidence of the ancient castle.

Every Saturday, from 10 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 7 pm, and every Sunday, from 11 am to 7 pm, it will be possible to visit for free the Casa Carducci Museum, the Beata Diana Giuntini Civic Museum and the adjacent La Rocca Archaeological Area.

Starting from the Museo Casa Carducci, which houses the permanent pictorial collection of Antonio Possenti and the correspondence between Michele Carducci and the Municipality of Santa Maria a Monte, the itinerary will unfold along Via Carducci, touching the Medieval Cistern with the annexed underground, the Collegiate Church with its medieval works, and a climb up the Clock Tower.

The itinerary will end at the Rocca, with a visit to the excavations of the Archaeological Area and the collections of the annexed Civic Museum, with two path dedicated to the Blessed Diana Giuntini and to another great fellow citizen: Vincenzo Galilei, father of the illustrious Galileo, born in Santa Maria a Monte in 1520.
