Guided itinerary to discover the works linked to the first Grand Duke of Tuscany in Lower Middle Valdarno
The project "Nelle Terre di Cosimo I de' Medici" (In the lands of Cosimo I de' Medici) plans a guided tour between Fucecchio and Cerreto Guidi, following which visitors are led to discover some of the major constructions commissioned by Cosimo I in Lower Middle Valdarno that profoundly altered its landscape. The initiative is part of the celebrations to commemorate the 450th anniversary of the death of Cosimo I.
The day-long itinerary unfolds through different environments, starting from the Villa of Cerreto Guidi, the prince's residence and now a UNESCO site, continuing on a journey through the wetland area of the Fucecchio marsh on the typical boats, and concluding with a visit to the Cappiano Bridge, commissioned by Cosimo to regulate the waters of Lake Fucecchio.
The guided tour is scheduled for the days:

- September 7
- September 13 and 14
Information:
- departure at 9:15 a.m. from Fucecchio, Piazza Aldo Moro
- return scheduled for 5:15 p.m.
- required reservation (maximum 25 participants for each itinerary)
- participation is free and includes support from historical-artistic and nature guides and transportation service
- while making the reservation, it is possible to request the basket for the tour (price €12), to be picked up at Medici Villa in Cerreto Guidi
