
At 12 noon on April 5, at the Baluardo San Regolo, the book “Villa Reale di Marlia – Storia, Passione, Rinascita” (“Villa Reale di Marlia - History, Passion, Rebirth”) will be presented as part of the event Verdemura.
Lucca Mayor Mario Pardini and Lucca Crea President Nicola Lucchesi will give the official welcoming speech.
Afterwards, Iacopo Lazzareschi Cervelli will chair the event by interviewing the book’s editor, Architect Luca Borgogni, who will recount the highlights of the enormous restoration works that the Villa Reale has undergone over the past 10 years. This will be followed by speeches by Roberta Martinelli and Simonetta Giurlani Pardini of the Napoleone ed Elisa association to talk about the two iconic women of Villa Reale: Elisa Bonaparte Baciocchi and Countess Mimì Pecci-Blunt, to whom a museum was respectively dedicated in two different historical buildings.
To conclude the book presentation, Villa owner Henric Grönberg will share his story with the audience on a personal level and as a patron, on what is a unique opportunity to meet and interview him.
